![]() Announced in May 2013, it was released in January 2015 for Linux, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One. The story was inspired by both Heart of Darkness and The Plague. To create a story that would suit the taste of the American audience, the writing team collaborated with Dan Jolley. To implement that, Techland had to abandon most of the story elements and construct them again from scratch. The game's parkour system puts emphasis on natural movement. The development of the game began in early 2012, after the team completed the development of Dead Island. The game also features an asymmetrical multiplayer mode (originally set to be a pre-order bonus), and a four-player co-operative multiplayer mode. The gameplay is focused on weapons-based combat and parkour, allowing players to choose fight or flight when presented with dangers. It features an enemy-infested, open-world city with a dynamic day–night cycle, in which zombies are slow and clumsy during daytime but become extremely aggressive at night. ![]() The game's story follows an undercover agent named Kyle Crane who is sent to infiltrate a quarantine zone in a Middle-eastern city called Harran. Just a suggestion if you want to get a few power levels so you can unlock the insta-kill abilities if you didn't take them already.Dying Light is a 2015 survival horror video game developed by Techland and published by Warner Bros. It's really easy to farm power levels there, ESPECIALLY at night (free volatile kills), but if you turn on the power, the safe zone will be activated and you'll never be able to farm there again. If you walk to one side of the station to pick up your arrows and lot the bodies, they'll respawn on the other side. That innactive safe zone is zombie proof, so you can attack them through the fence with impunity. If you get a bow, I recommend going to the central power station and running to the back where you have to turn on the power at night to fry a viral nest. Your best weapons without DLC are throwing firecrackers into an oil slick (Biters and viral will run into the burning oil pool to attack the cracker and then burn to death, and you'll get enviromental kill EXP for it!), the curb stomp + dropkick combo and combining grapple and a spike trap/ ledge of a tall building can both insta kill zombies without wielding a weapon at all. If you don't have the DLC, the regular bow probably kills in 2 headshots, the suppressed pistols are great for virals. The Harran ranger bow is an upgraded version of the bow that deals 240 damage, but I've found that it kills any zombie in 1 headshot, and that the hit reg on the arrows is VERY forgiving. If you have all the DLC, the volkatronix rifle (not quite the name) is a partially suppressed rifle that can kill most zombies in 2 headshots. There are so many skills which give you the ability to instantly execute zombies that it's not worth bothering with melee weapons until you have really good ones that are doing 1000+ damage. ![]() Actually beating a zombie to death with a melee weapon is the worst strategy at your disposal. ![]() The best ways to kill biters and virals that I have found are to use a bow and arrow, a drop kick + finishing stomp, or to use grapple to throw the biters into spikes or off of a tall building.
